Description
Description
Crying of Evil is a dark floral leather: tuberose and violet over leather, rose, olibanum and patchouli. It belongs to Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777's core 777 collection, and the house calls it a hymn to the love of beauty, moving between voluptuousness, ecstasy and melancholy. Pink berries and spices open it with a bright, peppery edge, tuberose and violet add a heady, powdery bloom, and the heart turns to leather, rose and creamy sandalwood. The base is patchouli, amber, olibanum and musk, which gives it the animalic, resinous depth the house describes.

Performance
Longevity: Long. Expect roughly 7 to 9 hours, with the leather and patchouli lasting longest.
Sillage: Moderate to strong. The house itself describes a powerful trail.
Projection: 2 to 3 feet for the first hours, then it settles to arm's length.
An honest note: tuberose and leather both vary a lot between wearers. One or two sprays is the place to start.
